Sairaj Bags

We are located at No. 130 in the L.I.G. area of Indira Nagar, Mandideep. Sairaj Bags is basically a workshop where we spend most of the day cutting fabric and sewing. There are three heavy-duty machines running almost all the time, so it’s pretty loud in here. We make all sorts of bags, from simple shopping ones to things for school kids. The floor is usually covered in scraps of thread and leftover material by the afternoon. It isn't a showroom where everything is pretty and laid out. It’s a place where real work gets done. Most of our customers are local shops that need stock, or sometimes individuals who want something sturdy that won't break. Mandideep is an industrial kind of place, so we fit right in with the noise. The lighting isn't great in the back, but we have lamps over the sewing tables. I’ve been doing this for years, and my hands show it. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the machines properly. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to sit around and wait for it to come back, which is frustrating when we have a big order due. We keep a few samples hanging on the wall so people can see the different handles and zippers we use. It’s a messy business, but we enjoy seeing the finished bags stacked up.
