Anand Jeans

Anand Jeans is located in Ramnagar. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main city center. We have a small unit where we do the cutting and stitching of denim fabric. Jeans are what we know. We have big heavy-duty machines for the thick fabric we use. The blue lint gets everywhere, even in our hair and clothes. We started small and stayed that way on purpose. It’s easier to manage things when you can see everyone working together. We buy rolls of denim from the mills and then decide on the patterns for the week. Sometimes we try new styles, but mostly we stick to what people like to wear every day. The workshop is a bit plain and functional. We don't have a reception area or a place for guests to sit. You just walk in and you’re in the middle of the work area. We listen to the radio while we work to keep things interesting. It keeps the energy up during long shifts. Ramnagar is a good place for us because the rent is fair for a small business. We have a few local shops that buy from us regularly. We don't have a big brand name or anything like that. We just put the tags on and send them out. It’s a decent life. We work hard and try to make sure the seams are straight and strong.
