R. K. Stores

R. K. Stores is situated on Kotwali Road, right across from the Kotwali Thana in the Azad Market area. Being near the police station means it’s a pretty well-known spot in the Peer Gate Area. Our store is a general retail place where we sell a bit of everything. It’s an old building, and we’ve had to patch the roof a few times over the years. The inside is a bit dark, but we have enough lights to see the products. We have shelves lining every wall, filled with household items and various sundries. It’s not the most organized place in the world, and sometimes it takes a minute to find a specific item tucked away in a corner. We are usually here from early morning until late at night. The traffic on Kotwali Road is constant, so there is always a background noise of horns and people shouting. We don't have a website or any social media. If people want to buy something, they just walk in. We know most of the regular shopkeepers on this street, and we often share tea in the afternoons when things quiet down a bit. It’s a simple way of living. We don't try to compete with the big supermarkets. We just offer what we have to the people who walk past our door every day. It’s a small, honest business and we are happy to be part of Azad Market.
