It is a unique spot because when there is a wedding at the hall, the whole street gets blocked with cars and music. We’ve gotten used to the noise over time. Our shop handles safety equipment, and we have a lot of stuff stacked up against the walls, like fire extinguishers and safety signs. The building itself is older, and the entrance is tucked away a bit. We spend our mornings checking inventory and the afternoons out meeting people who need safety gear for their buildings. Being near the mosque means we hear the calls to prayer throughout the day, which gives a nice rhythm to our work. We aren't some big brand with a shiny storefront. We are just a local business trying to make a living. Sometimes the rain floods the street a little bit, but we just put some sandbags out and keep going. Our customers are usually people from the neighborhood or managers of the nearby halls who need to stay updated on their safety kits. It’s a friendly place, and we often have people stopping by just to chat for a few minutes. We like the location despite the traffic because it feels like a real part of the community.
