Pintoo Kirana

House No 502 in Vishwakarma Nagar is where we set up Pintoo Kirana. It is right in the Bangali Colony area of Habibganj. The shop isn't very large, just a front room that we converted to hold all the supplies. Living in Bhopal, the summers get really hot, so the shop stays a bit cooler inside with the stone floor. We have the usual stuff like cooking oil, flour, and different kinds of biscuits. Most of the people who come here are just our neighbors from the colony. They stop by for a packet of milk in the morning or some eggs if they run out. I spend a lot of time just rearranging the jars of candy on the counter so the kids can see them. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late because of the traffic in Habibganj, and we have to tell people to come back later for their specific brand of tea. It is just me and one other person most days. We don't have a computer or anything, we just use a simple calculator and a ledger book that is getting quite old now. The street outside is usually quiet in the afternoons when everyone is resting. We just sit there and wait for the evening when things pick up again. It is a simple way to make a living, and we have been at this spot for quite a while now without changing much. We just keep things basic and useful.
