Peoples Hospital

Setting up a hospital on the Bhopal Main Road means you are right in the middle of everything. The traffic outside is constant, and you can hear the buses and the scooters from almost every room in the building. It is a busy place because of the location. People often stop in because they were just passing by and needed something checked. The lobby has those hard plastic chairs that are easy to wipe down. We go through a lot of floor cleaner every day to keep the Bhopal dust at bay. The lighting is a bit bright and clinical, but that is what you expect. We have a small pharmacy attached to the side, and the guy who runs it is always complaining about his inventory. The staff here is a mix of young nurses and older attendants who have worked in Bhopal for years. We don't have a fancy cafeteria, just a small corner with a kettle and some biscuits. Sometimes the lift gets stuck between floors, so most of us just take the stairs anyway. It keeps us fit, I suppose. We see a lot of people from the rural areas who come into the city for the day. It is a straightforward operation without any big corporate branding or polished slogans. We just open the doors in the morning, see who is waiting, and start the day’s work for the people on the Main Road.
