Rajasthani Boutique

Rajasthani Boutique is tucked away at D. K. Devsthali, which is right near the Danapani Restaurant in E-8 Arera Colony. It’s a nice little spot, and being near the restaurant means people often wander in after they’ve had a meal. We have racks of clothes and piles of unstitched fabric everywhere you look. Sometimes the shop feels a bit small when we have a few customers in at once, but we make it work. We spend most of our time at the sewing machines or cutting out patterns on the big wooden table. Arera Colony is a good neighborhood to be in, and we’ve made a lot of friends among the other shopkeepers around here. We don't really do the whole corporate thing; it’s just us and our needles and thread. If you need something fixed or a new outfit for a wedding, we usually have a lot to talk about. The colors of the fabrics brighten up the place, even on rainy days. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything, we just rely on people liking what we make and telling their sisters or friends about us. It’s a lot of work to get the details right, especially with the embroidery, but it’s what we do. We’re usually here until the sun goes down, trying to finish off the last few hems before we head home for the night.
