L K Chappal is our little shop over in Ward No 27. We are located right in Avari Mata Colony, which is pretty close to the City Center, so it's a good spot for people who are out doing their regular shopping. We sell all kinds of footwear, mostly simple stuff like rubber slippers, leather sandals, and those sturdy shoes that people wear every day for work. The shelves are packed pretty tight from floor to ceiling, and sometimes a box might fall down if you're not careful when reaching for a size. We try to keep a good variety of sizes in stock, though sometimes we run out of the most common ones during the festival season. It's a family-run kind of place. My uncle started this shop years ago, and now we just keep it going as best as we can. The light isn't the brightest in the back of the store, but it feels homey to us. Customers usually come in, try on a few different pairs, and walk around on the small rug to see if they feel right. We don't like to push people to buy things they don't really like. If a shoe pinches your toes, it’s obviously not the right one for you. Simple as that. The street outside can get a bit crowded with scooters and people walking. We put a small wooden bench outside so folks can sit for a minute and rest their legs. It’s a basic shop, nothing too fancy, just providing good solid footwear for the local people living around this neighborhood. We open early and stay until the sun goes down most days.
