Jhoomarwala Sahu Electricals

We are located right at No.101 in Mangalwara, on Chowni Road. If you walk down the street, you can’t really miss the lights. Jhoomarwala Sahu Electricals is mostly a family-run kind of place. We have been here for a good while now, selling all sorts of electrical things and, of course, the big decorative lights that give us our name. The shop is usually full of boxes because new stuff arrives almost every day. It’s not a very big space, so we have to use every inch of the walls and ceiling. Sometimes it feels like the ceiling might come down with all the jhoomars hanging there, but they are all secure. We talk to a lot of neighbors who just need a bulb or a switch replaced, and then there are people looking for something fancy for a wedding or a new house. It gets dusty because of the road outside, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass bits on the lamps. We aren't trying to be some high-end showroom. We just want to make sure people in the Chowni Road area have a place to get their electrical supplies without a fuss. My uncle started this, and we just keep the doors open and the lights on. It’s a simple life, really, just checking the registers and helping folks find the right wire for their home projects.
