Vatsalya Hospital

Vatsalya Hospital is over at A-262 in the New Minal Residency, close to Gate No. 4. It isn't one of those massive, intimidating hospitals with endless corridors. We are more like a small community healthcare spot. The building is modest, and we try to keep it as clean and comfortable as possible for the patients who come in. I’ve been working at the front desk and helping with administration for a while now. Some days are very quiet, and we just catch up on filing. Other days, it feels like everyone in the residency has decided to come in at once. We have a small team of doctors and nurses who really care about what they do, even if we all get a bit grumpy when we’re tired. The smell of disinfectant is everywhere, but you get used to it after the first week. We have a little waiting area with some old magazines and a water cooler that always seems to run out at the wrong time. It’s a practical place. We don’t have high-tech robots or anything like that. We just focus on treating the people who walk through our doors. It’s a lot of responsibility, and sometimes things go wrong, but we do our best to manage. Most of our patients are our neighbors, so we see them at the market too. It makes the work feel a bit more personal.
