Hamidia Hospital

Hamidia Hospital sits right on Sultania Road in Bhopal. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets around here. People come from all over the place, sometimes from very far away villages, and they end up at our gates. It is a 462001 zip code, but it feels like its own world inside. The building has been here for quite some time. You can see the old walls and the new sections that got added later. There is always noise from the street, horns honking, and people looking for directions. We spend most of our days just keeping things moving. Some of the staff have been here for decades and they know every corner of this hospital. It isn’t fancy. There are no shiny glass walls or quiet hallways. It is just a place where work happens every single day, regardless of the weather. Sometimes the rain gets heavy on Sultania Road and everything slows down, but the hospital stays open. We deal with whatever comes through the door. It is a lot of walking back and forth between wards. The tea stalls right outside the main gate are always full of people waiting.
