Hahnemann Homoeopathic College & Hospital

Out here on New Jail By-Pass Road in Karond, things usually move at their own pace. Hahnemann Homoeopathic College & Hospital has been part of this landscape for a good bit now. It’s a fairly large place, which you’d expect for a college and a hospital combined into one campus. Students are always running around between their classes, and patients come in through the clinic doors throughout the whole morning. The Karond area has changed quite a bit since we first set up, but the bypass road stays busy with trucks and cars all day long. Inside the building, it often smells a bit like old books and those little white sugar pills that everyone knows. We have classrooms for the lectures and then the hospital side where the actual treatment happens. It’s not a shiny, super-modern hospital like you see on television. It’s a practical space where people come to learn and get better using homeopathy. The staff here has been around for many years, and we know many of the locals who stop by regularly. Keeping things organized is a challenge, but with so many students around, it gets a bit lively during the day. Sometimes the power goes out or the road gets very dusty, but we just keep going. It’s about teaching the next generation and helping the folks who live nearby. There’s a lot of history in these walls, even if the paint is peeling a little in some of the older corners.
