Sai Engineering Works

If you head over to Sector I in the Govindpura Industrial Area and look for the big Barnala Crane, you’ll find us right nearby at No. 15-B. Sai Engineering Works is a gritty place, to be honest. There’s always the smell of cut metal and grease in the air. We have a few lathes and welding machines that stay running most of the day. It’s a noisy environment, but that’s just how a workshop is supposed to be. Most of our time is spent looking at blueprints or grinding down edges to make sure parts fit together like they should. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting area. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in blue overalls covered in some kind of oil. It’s practical work. We take on a lot of different jobs, from small repairs to making specific parts for bigger machines used by other shops around here. The floor is concrete and has seen better days, and there are stacks of scrap metal in the corners waiting to be cleared out. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait a bit, but we usually find something else to clean or organize in the meantime. It’s just a handful of us here doing the work. We don't try to make the place look like something it isn't. It’s just a solid workshop that's been around for years. We just keep our heads down and get the metalwork done.
