Ganga Jamna Fashion is our little shop at 54 Ashok Vihar. We are quite close to Vedanta Hospital in the Ashoka Garden area, so it’s easy to find if you are familiar with the landmarks around here. The shop itself is pretty small and we have filled every single inch of it with clothes and fabric. Sometimes it feels like the walls are closing in when a new shipment arrives and we have to find space for all the new boxes. We spend a lot of time sorting through sizes and making sure things are hung up properly, though it usually gets messy again by the afternoon. We aren't a big chain store. It is just a family-run place where we do most of the work ourselves. We don't have a fancy display window or professional lighting. We just use the regular bulbs and hope they don't burn out at the wrong time. Ashoka Garden is a nice neighborhood to be in, and we have regular customers who have been coming to us for years. They usually stay for a chat while they look around. Parking can be a real headache near the hospital, so we usually tell people to leave their scooters around the back. It’s a simple life running a shop like this. We stay open late most days because that is when people are out walking.
