We are situated over in Lalghati, specifically at Plot No 230 in Om Shiv Nagar. Our place is really close to the railway crossing, so we spend a fair amount of time waiting for the gates to open when we’re coming back from site visits. The office is a simple building where we do all our design and planning. It’s not in a commercial complex, so it feels a bit more like a local neighborhood spot. We have a lot of samples of tiles and stone pieces sitting around because we like to see how they look in real life before we suggest them to anyone. The desks are usually covered in sketches and empty tea cups by the end of the day. Working in Bhopal means we deal with a lot of different kinds of spaces, from old houses to new apartments. We aren't big on fancy presentations; we usually just sit down with a pencil and a piece of paper to show what we’re thinking. Sometimes the noise from the trains is a bit loud, but we’ve lived and worked here long enough that it’s just part of the background. Most of our work involves figuring out how to make a room feel bigger or how to fix a weird corner that doesn’t fit anything. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the measurements are right and the materials are what they need to be.
