Cash Surgicals is situated right across from Hamidia Hospital. This is one of the busiest areas you could imagine, with people, ambulances, and vendors everywhere. Our place is primarily focused on surgical items and supplies that hospitals and doctors need. Because we are so close to Hamidia, we get a lot of people coming in who need something specific and they need it right now. The shop is full of boxes, from floor to ceiling, containing all sorts of equipment. It’s not a place where everything is laid out for browsing; you usually have to ask us, and we go find it in the stacks. We’ve been here for a long time, and we know most of the staff at the hospital across the road. The atmosphere is very utilitarian. We don't have air conditioning in the main area, just some big fans that blow the air around. It gets hot in the summer, but we keep going. We don’t spend money on fancy branding or glossy brochures. We just make sure we have the right surgical tools and supplies in stock. It’s a busy life, and there’s always something to do, whether it’s checking a shipment or helping a customer who looks a bit lost after coming from the hospital. We open early and usually stay until the last of the hospital shifts change. It’s just the way it has always been for us here, working in the middle of all the hospital bustle.
