Bharat Kirana

You can find Bharat Kirana over at Shop No2, right near the Dham on J K Road in Bhopal. We’ve been set up here for a good amount of time, serving the people who live in this part of the city. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at from the outside, just a regular storefront with sacks of rice and boxes piled up inside. We handle the daily stuff people need for their homes, like cooking oil, flour, and cleaning supplies. J K Road can get pretty busy with traffic, so there is always dust coming in, and we have to wipe down the counters pretty often. It’s a hands-on job, and there’s always something to do, whether it’s weighing out lentils or organizing the biscuit packets. I don't use any fancy computer systems; I mostly write things down in a notebook to keep track of what's going on. Sometimes we run out of certain brands, but there is usually something else on the shelf that works just as well. It’s a small space, so you have to watch your step when you come in. We don't do any big advertisements or anything like that. People just know we are here and stop by when they need something quick for dinner. It's an honest business, and we just take each day as it comes, making sure the shop stays open for whoever needs us. It can be tiring, but it is steady work for us.
