Akshit Clinic

Akshit Clinic is tucked away in the Awadhpuri area of Bhopal. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it’s usually a bit quieter than the city center, which is nice for us. We started this small clinic because there weren’t many places nearby for the local families to go. The building is just a regular one, nothing special to look at from the outside. Inside, we have a few chairs for waiting and a desk where we handle the paperwork. It’s mostly mothers bringing in their kids or the elderly people from the block. We know most of our patients by their first names because they live just down the street. In the evenings, the street gets a bit lively with people coming home from work and kids playing outside. We stay open then because that’s when most people have time to visit. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just keep a torch handy and carry on. It’s a very local feel here. We don’t bother with big advertisements or anything like that. People just find us by word of mouth or by walking past. We try to keep the place clean, though the floor gets muddy during the monsoon season since people are coming in from the rain. It’s just a small, honest place where we do what we can to help our neighbors in Awadhpuri. We’ve been here for a while now and we plan to stay for many more years to come.
