Aishwarya General Store

Aishwarya General Store is located at Shop Number 1 on Masjid Shakur Khan Road in the Loha Bazar area of Bhopal. Being in the middle of Loha Bazar means there is always a lot of noise and activity from the other traders nearby. Our shop is very close to the Masjid Shakur Khan, which makes it easy for people to find us. We stock all the basic things a house needs, like tea, sugar, oil, and snacks for the children. The shop is not very big and it gets quite hot during the Bhopal summers, but we stay open as long as there are people out on the street. It is a simple setup with a few wooden shelves and a small counter where we sit most of the day. Most of the people who come in are either local residents or other shopkeepers from the bazaar who need something in a hurry. We do not do any marketing; we just keep the doors open and try to be helpful to whoever stops by. Sometimes the stock has to be brought in on small wooden carts because the lanes are too narrow for trucks to pass through. It can be a bit of a squeeze when we get a large delivery, but we eventually find a spot for everything on the shelves. We have seen many changes in the neighborhood over the years, but our shop remains pretty much the same as it was when we started. It is just a steady, quiet corner of the bazaar.
