Our business, Sri Gopal Satyanarayan Tex, is located right in the heart of Arrah. You can find us in Golla Muhalla, which is in the Mahadewa area. Vishnu Kumar Goneka is the one who keeps things running here. It’s a family-run kind of place, and we’ve been in this muhalla for a long time. The streets outside are always full of people, cows, and rickshaws, so it’s never really quiet. We handle a variety of textiles and fabrics. Our shop is not very large, but we pack it full of whatever stock we have at the time. It can be a bit of a mess sometimes with all the rolls of cloth leaning against the walls, but we know where everything is. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with fancy offices or uniforms. We just wear our regular clothes and talk to whoever walks in the door. If someone needs a specific type of fabric, we do our best to find it in the stacks. Sometimes the power goes out in Arrah, and we just sit outside in the shade until it comes back on. It’s a very local way of doing things. We know most of the other shopkeepers in Golla Muhalla, and we all look out for each other. It is just an honest day’s work for us, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is.
