Raj Rice Mill

The mill is out in Village Chandwa, which is a bit of a drive from the main part of Ara. We are in the Bhojpur district, right where the fields start to get thick. It’s a loud place when the machines are running, but that is the sound of work getting done. We process a lot of rice here. The air is always a bit dusty with the husks, but you get used to it. The farmers bring their harvests right to our post, and we take it from there. It is a practical operation. We don’t have a fancy office or any polished marketing. It’s just us, the machinery, and the grain. My father started things here, and we just kept it going. The weather dictates a lot of what we do. If it’s monsoon, things slow down. In the harvest season, we are here until late at night. We have a small crew of locals who know the machines inside out. We don’t talk much during the day because of the noise, but we get the job done. Chandwa is a quiet village otherwise. We like being part of the local economy here in Tehsil Ara. It feels good to see the finished bags of rice stacked up and ready to go. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just a rice mill doing our part.
