Maashri Parivaar Micro Foundation

Our foundation is based over in Bind Toli in Arrah. It’s at the home of Ramjhari Devi, so it’s a very local, personal kind of setup. We don't have a big corporate office in a glass building. Instead, we work from a few rooms in a regular house where the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. Arrah is a busy town, and Bind Toli has its own rhythm. We started this because we saw that families around here sometimes struggle with small financial things or just need some guidance that they can’t get from a big bank. We don't have a lot of formal rules about how we talk to people. You just come in, sit down on a plastic chair, and tell us what’s going on. Ramjhari is usually around, and she keeps track of the records in these big ledgers. It can get a bit noisy when the neighbors are out in the street or when someone’s radio is playing nearby. We don't mind. It feels like home because it is a home. We don't use a lot of big words or complicated explanations. We just try to be practical and honest about what can be done. Some days we have more questions than answers, but we always try to figure something out. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s real work that we do right here in our own community. Most people in the Toli know where we are.
