Our office is more like a home base where we meet up to discuss where the next pile of bricks is going. We don’t have any big corporate goals or fancy mission statements. We just focus on the task at hand, whether it’s a small wall or a bigger structure. Working in Bahiyara means we are part of the local community, and we see our neighbors every day. Sometimes it’s hard to get specialized parts out here, so we have to be a bit creative with how we solve problems. It is physical, sweaty work and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We aren't much for talking or making big promises. We just like to let the finished buildings speak for themselves. Most days are spent dealing with the humidity and making sure the workers have what they need to keep moving. It’s a simple life and we are happy to be doing it right here. We don't need a lot of flashy things to get the job done correctly. It's just us and the tools.
