Chandan General Store

My father started this shop years ago, and we’ve just kept it going here in Arak. If you walk toward the post office, you’ll see us right there. It’s a basic general store, nothing fancy at all. We stock things people need every day like flour, soap, and some snacks. It gets busy in the mornings when the mail comes in, but otherwise, it's just a quiet spot. I spend most of my day sitting behind the counter talking to neighbors who stop by. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the name on the door. It is handy being so close to the post office because people usually remember they need something once they finish their business there. The shelves are a bit crowded, and sometimes I have to dig around to find exactly what someone is looking for. We try to keep the basics in stock so no one has to travel too far for bread or tea leaves. It’s just me and my brother helping out most of the time. We know almost everyone who walks through the door by their first name. It isn't a huge supermarket, just a small place that’s been part of the village for a while now. We open early and stay open until the sun goes down. Nothing more to it than that. I think we have enough tea and sugar for everyone in Arak who needs it.
