Our main office is out in V.P.O Leghan, which is in the Bhiwani district of Haryana. This office for the Transport Corporation Of India Ltd is run with the help of Ramavtar Sharma’s family. It is a typical rural setup where everyone knows everyone else. We don't have a big corporate headquarters; our office is just a simple building that serves the local area. Bhiwani can get very hot in the summer and quite cold in the winter, so we just adapt to the weather as we work. Most of our time is spent managing the transport routes and making sure the drivers have everything they need for their long trips. It is a lot of manual work, from writing out logs by hand to checking the tires on the big rigs. We don't have any marketing people or a fancy website team. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay on schedule. Sometimes there are delays at the state borders or the trucks need repairs, which can be frustrating, but that is part of the job. We speak plainly to our customers and don't make promises we can't keep. It is a small-town operation with deep roots in the community. We are just regular people trying to keep the goods moving across the state and beyond. There is no drama, just a lot of hard work and many cups of tea throughout the day to keep us going.
