Over in Vpo Mehlan, you’ll find us at Shri Sai Mineral Corporation. It’s a small operation, mostly run by a few of us who know the area well. We’ve been here long enough to see the village change quite a bit. Our work isn't the kind you see on TV. It’s mostly about managing the minerals and making sure the day-to-day tasks are finished before dark. We don't use any complicated systems or have a lot of meetings. Most of our decisions are made over a cup of tea in the morning. The building is plain, and we keep things organized in our own way. It might look a bit cluttered to an outsider, but we know where everything is. Mehlan is a place where everyone knows everyone else’s business, so we try to do right by people. We aren't trying to become a giant company; we just want to keep things running steady. Sometimes the equipment acts up, and we spend the afternoon with grease on our hands. That’s just part of the job. Shri Sai Mineral Corporation is just a reflection of the people who work here—practical, a bit tired sometimes, but always back at it the next morning. It’s a decent life we’ve built here in Vpo Mehlan, and we take pride in just doing what we say we will. Most days end with us just tired and ready for home.
