If you go down the Main Road in Rampura and turn into Kumhar Wali Gali, you will find us at 274A. We are situated right near that Ashian Property Dealer office that everyone knows. Sharma Engineering Works has been in this lane for a good while now. It is a narrow street, so getting big equipment in and out is always a bit of an adventure for us. We mostly do repair work and make small metal parts for other local businesses. It is a family thing. My brother and I run the machines while our uncle keeps an eye on the notebooks and the money. The floor is usually covered in sharp metal shavings, so you really have to watch where you step when you walk in. We do not have a website or any of those modern things. People just know we are here. They bring in broken iron gates or tractor parts and we weld them or fix them up. It is a lot of heat and sparks throughout the work day. In the summers, it gets really hot inside the shop, but we keep the ceiling fans going as fast as they can turn. We talk to the neighbors and share some tea while we keep working until the sun goes down. It is a simple way to make a living and we do not mind the routine at all.
