Nidhish Farms

Out here at Plot No. 24, things move at a pace dictated by the seasons and the weather. Being situated on the Railway Road in Sui, we get to hear the trains passing by throughout the day, which becomes a sort of background noise you eventually stop noticing. Nidhish Farms is basically just the land and our small group of workers who look after everything. It isn't always an easy life, especially when the rain doesn't come when it should or when the heat gets too intense in the middle of the summer. We spend a lot of our time checking the soil and walking the Khasra No. 58 area to see how things are growing. There is always something that needs fixing, whether it is a broken fence or a pump that has decided to stop working. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just the farm and the daily chores that come with it. Early mornings are usually the best time to be out before the sun gets too high in the sky over Bawani Khera. We grow what we can and try to keep the place in decent shape without making too much of a fuss about it. It is honest work that gets your hands dirty every single day. We don’t really go in for big talk or complicated plans. We just focus on the crops and the rhythm of the farm life. It is a bit slower than the city but the work is steady.
