Narayan Traders

Our shop is right by the Dhawani Bawari Gate, just across from Ansh Hospital. It’s a busy corner because of the hospital traffic, so there are always people walking past Narayan Traders. We have a lot of different things in stock, mostly stuff that people in the area need on a daily basis. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, and I usually have to use a rickety old ladder to get things from the top. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the boxes, but we know where every single item is located. We open early in the morning because that’s when the hospital shift changes and people are looking for supplies. It’s mostly just a few of us here. We spend a lot of time talking to the locals and the regular customers who have been coming to us for years. There isn't much for decor, just the merchandise and a couple of fans to keep the air moving when it gets humid. Sometimes we sit on the stools out front when things are slow and watch the cars go by. We handle the billing on a small counter that is always cluttered with pens and receipt books. It is a very normal way to earn a living, just buying and selling things and making sure we have what people ask for. Sometimes the deliveries are late, so we have to apologize to the neighbors, but they usually understand.
