Fauji Bartan Store

If you're in Charkhi Dadri, you probably know where the Dhani Fatak is. Our store is right near there on the Main Road. We call it Fauji Bartan Store because of the family background. We sell all kinds of utensils and kitchen stuff. It’s a bright shop because of all the stainless steel and brass reflecting the light. When the trains go by the fatak, you can feel the vibration in the floor. It’s just something we’ve gotten used to over time. People come in looking for things for their kitchens or maybe a gift for a wedding. We have pots and pans stacked from the floor up to the ceiling in some parts. It's a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside. We spend a lot of time polishing things so they look decent on the shelves. It’s a family-run place, so you’ll usually find one of us sitting behind the small counter. We don't do any big marketing. The word spreads from one neighbor to another. We know most of the families in this part of Charkhi Dadri. Sometimes children come in just to look at the shiny things. We try to keep prices fair because we know everyone here. It’s a simple life, selling bartan and watching the traffic go by the railway crossing. It’s not a corporate chain, just our local shop.
