Our place is located near the 8th kilometer stone on the Dadri Bhiwani Road. We're based in Village Phaladgarh, right at Mahender Singh’s spot. It’s out in the open, away from the noise of the bigger towns. The air is a bit different here, and so is the pace of life. We started Davik Bhoomi because we care about the land we live on. Bhoomi means earth, and that’s really what we focus on every day. We see how the soil is changing and how farming is getting harder for the people around us. We aren’t some big agency with a lot of money. We’re just local people who grew up here and want to see the village thrive. Most days, you’ll find us out in the fields or sitting under a tree talking to the elders. They know more about the land than any book could ever tell us. We’re trying to mix that old wisdom with some new ideas to keep the ground healthy for the future. It’s not always easy to convince people to change how they’ve done things for years. We get a lot of skeptical looks. But we just keep showing up. Our office is basically wherever Mahender is standing at the moment. We don’t have fancy desks or computers. We have the dirt under our fingernails and a lot of hope for the next harvest. It’s basic, honest work.
