R. N. Uniforms

We’ve been running R. N. Uniforms out of Shop No. 39 on Hafsa Ali Lane for quite some time. It's pretty easy to find if you look for the Islamabad Masjid right across from us or just go behind the Kumbharwada Police Station. The shop is usually filled with stacks of school shirts and trousers waiting for pick up. It's a small space, so things can get a bit messy when we're in the middle of a big order. We spend most of our mornings just cutting fabric and getting the machines ready. It isn't a flashy place, just a regular shop where we do what we know. A lot of parents from the neighborhood come by because their kids keep outgrowing their pants every few months. We try to keep the sizes people actually need in stock. The lane outside gets noisy with all the traffic, but inside we just focus on the sewing. Sometimes a button might be loose or a hem needs fixing, and we just handle it right there. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us working through the piles of cloth. It’s basic work, but it keeps us busy from morning until we close up for the night. If the door is open, we’re probably sitting there at the back with a measuring tape or some chalk. We don't do much with social media, we just rely on people walking by and knowing we are here.
