We are over at number 868 in Naygaon 2. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Salhauddin School in the Pirani Pada area. It’s a lively neighborhood, and during the school hours, you can hear the kids playing and the bells ringing all day long. Our shop is mostly filled with rolls of fabric and textiles of different types. It’s a lot of heavy lifting moving those bolts around, and my back usually feels it by the end of the week. The walls are covered in samples, and there is always lint floating in the air, which makes everyone sneeze once in a while. We have a couple of old sewing machines in the back that we use for small bits of work. It’s a family-run place, so there’s usually a pot of tea on the go and someone’s cousin sitting in the corner talking. We don't have a big sign or any bright lights outside. People just know where we are. Sometimes the power goes out in this part of town, and we have to work by candlelight or just close up early. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s ours. We spend a lot of time talking to the local tailors who come in to pick out their materials. We just try to keep a good stock of what people actually use and keep the prices fair for everyone.
