Abhinav Syntex

Abhinav Syntex is located in Shop No 3 on the ground floor of the Jalaram Krupa Building. We are right opposite the Baba Ramdev Campus in Kaneri. The shop is basically a big storage area for textiles and yarn. We have rolls of fabric stacked up almost to the ceiling in some parts. It is a dusty kind of job, as the fibers from the cloth tend to settle on everything. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading bundles from the trucks that pull up outside. It isn't a fancy boutique with mannequins. It is a place of trade where we count stock and move heavy bags of material around. The floor is concrete and built for heavy work, not for looking pretty. We keep a ledger of what comes in and what goes out to the local manufacturers. Being near the campus means there is always some movement on the street, but we stay inside dealing with the inventory. Some days are just spent reorganizing the shelves so we can actually find the specific weave or color someone is asking for. It is physical work, and our clothes usually end up covered in lint by the time we close up for the evening. We have been in this building for a bit, and it works for what we need to do. It is just about keeping the supply of synthetics moving to the people who use them.
