We run things out of Godown No- 6 in the Om Harihar Complex in Bhiwandi. If you have ever been to Bhiwandi, you know it is basically a giant maze of warehouses and trucks everywhere. Our complex is near the Hanuman Mandir, which is where most people stop to ask for directions if they get lost. The godown itself is just a big open space where we keep everything organized on shelves and pallets. It is dusty and loud most of the time because of all the loading and unloading going on in the neighboring units. We spend a lot of our day checking manifests and making sure stuff is where it should be. It is not the kind of place where you would want to wear a nice suit, that is for sure. We have a small office section partitioned off where we keep the computer and the files, but it still feels like part of the warehouse. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon. We have been here for a few years and the routine stays pretty much the same. It is hard work and the summer heat in a metal-roofed godown is no joke. We just keep our heads down and get the orders moved out as they come in. It is just a regular local business setup that keeps us busy from morning until late at night.
