Our factory, Cachet Pharmaceuticals, is at C 582 in the RIICO Industrial Area. This is out in Alwar District, so it’s a bit of a journey if you’re coming from the main city. The area is full of industrial sheds and large chimneys. We’ve been operating here for several years. It’s a big site with different sections for manufacturing and testing the products. The sun gets really hot in Rajasthan, so the building is designed to stay as cool as possible inside. We have a lot of people working here in shifts. My job is to watch the schedules and make sure the supplies like raw powders and packaging materials are always available. There is a lot of dust outside on the roads, but inside the labs, it’s kept very clean. We have security at the gate who check everyone coming in. It’s a very practical environment. There aren't many trees around, just buildings and trucks. We get our water from the borewell on-site. At the end of the shift, we all head out to the main road to catch our transport home. It’s a long day, but it’s steady work. We don't really have a fancy front office; it's mostly just the production floor and the storage rooms. We just keep the lines moving and make sure the boxes are labeled correctly before they go on the truck. It's a lot of responsibility making sure the medicine is made right.
