Bajaj Motoltd. Unit Iv (Foundry Division)

We are out here in Bhiwadi, specifically in the U.I.T. Colony at house 2/303. This is the Foundry Division of Bajaj Motoltd. Unit Iv. Being a foundry means it gets pretty hot and loud. We deal with metal casting and all the grit that comes with it. It’s not a clean office job. Most of us have dirt under our nails by the end of the shift. The Alwar district is a big industrial hub, and we are right in the thick of it. The roads around the colony are often busy with trucks carrying raw materials. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor or in the small office space near the front. We focus on getting the molds right and making sure the metal is poured correctly. It’s heavy work and it takes a lot out of you. We’ve been running this unit for a while now. We don't talk much about visions or goals. We just talk about the next batch of parts and the maintenance of the furnaces. It’s a practical environment. If something breaks, we fix it ourselves. We are local people doing local work. It’s a tough job but someone has to do it. The colony is quiet at night, which is a good break from the noise of the foundry. We keep working until the job is done right.
