Atul Traders

We are over at Shop No.S-08 on the Alwar By Pass. It is a decent spot because all the trucks and cars pass by right in front of our door every day. Atul Traders is mostly just me and one helper keeping the inventory in some kind of order. The shop is part of a small row of units. It gets really dusty with all the traffic coming off the bypass, so we spend a good part of the morning just cleaning the shelves and making sure everything is where it should be. We deal with various goods that people in this part of Rajasthan need for their daily work. Sometimes it gets very quiet in the afternoon when the sun is too much for anyone to be outside, but things pick up again in the evening. Finding the shop is easy if you know the bypass area. We have been in this specific spot for a while now. Most of our customers are locals or drivers who stop by on their way to the bigger cities. We keep things very simple here. There is no air conditioning, just a big metal shutter that stays open all day. I usually have my tea around four o’clock, and that is when the neighbors come by to talk about the market. It is a plain business, with no big signs or flashing lights. We just buy what is needed and sell it.
