The Sangamaa School

The Sangamaa School is located out near Post Office Gharsondi. It’s on Sangama Road in the Mahaveer Pura area. It’s quite a mouthful of an address, but most people just say it’s near Jawahar Ganj Dabra. The school is right there by the road, so there’s always a bit of dust from the passing tractors and buses. We have a brick wall around the place to keep things contained. Inside, it’s just a series of rooms along a long hallway. The floors are concrete and they get cold in the winter. We don't have any air conditioning, just the ceiling fans that hum all day. The office is right at the front and it’s usually crowded with people asking about fees or paperwork. We have a small playground with a slide that’s starting to show its age. The teachers here mostly live in Tehsil Dabra and they’ve been with us for years. We don’t do things in a very formal way. If a parent wants to talk, they just walk in and find whoever they need. We don't have any polished brochures. Most of the kids come from the surrounding farms and houses. We just try to keep the place running smoothly and make sure the students are actually reading their books. It’s a practical place, nothing more. We just deal with the daily stuff like fixing leaks or replacing broken light bulbs while teaching them what's in the curriculum. It works for us.
