You can find Rajawat Building Material at Shop No. 39 on Bihar Road. We are in the Sameer Nagar area, very close to the Kuldeep Petrol Pump. It’s a handy spot because everyone knows that petrol pump, so it makes it easy for folks to find us when they are lost. We keep a lot of different things here, like bags of cement, piles of bricks, and sand. The shop isn't exactly huge, so we have to stack things pretty high up to the ceiling. Sometimes it feels like we are playing a game of moving things around just to get to what is hidden in the back. I started this shop because I saw so many houses going up in this neighborhood and thought it made sense to have the supplies right here for them. We open up very early in the morning when the construction crews start their shifts. It’s usually just me and a couple of helpers. We talk a lot with the regulars who come in every morning for their supplies. The Bihar Road can get quite dusty, especially when the wind is blowing, so we are always out front with a broom. It’s a simple kind of life. We don’t have a website or anything fancy; people just walk in or call us on the mobile. We try to be fair with everyone and keep things moving. Most evenings we just sit outside on some crates.
