ECS Bagless School

ECS Bagless School is out in Bhind - 477001, and the name usually gets people talking because it’s a bit different from the usual schools you see around here. The whole idea is to not have kids carrying those heavy packs every day. We see them coming in with just themselves and maybe a small snack, which makes the morning feel a lot less frantic. The building is simple, just some rooms and a play area where the kids spend a lot of their time. It’s not a huge campus, but it’s enough for what we do. Inside, the walls have some drawings on them, and the furniture is built for smaller people, so it feels a bit cramped if you’re an adult walking through. We spend a lot of time just talking and doing activities rather than just sitting and writing all day long. It gets quite noisy, as you can imagine with a bunch of kids who aren't tied down by heavy books. The teachers here are local folks who just want to see these kids grow up okay. We don’t have high-tech gadgets in every corner; it’s more about the basic stuff that works. In the afternoon, when it’s time to go, there’s no big rush to pack up bags, which is a nice change for everyone. Kids just head out the door and walk home. It’s a plain, honest way of doing things that seems to fit this town just fine.
