Working out of Ranjna Nagar on the By Pass Road is a bit different than being in the middle of town. The traffic moves fast outside our door, and there’s always a bit of a breeze coming off the open road. We’re in a spot where people tend to stop when they’re headed somewhere else. Most of our day is spent at our desks, dealing with the usual paperwork and phone calls that come with this kind of work. It’s not a very quiet office, as the sound of trucks is constant. We’ve got a couple of small rooms where we meet people who come to see us. Usually, we have some files stacked up in the corner and a half-empty box of pens on the table. It’s a practical space. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some old calendars and the necessary stuff for work. My partner and I have been here long enough to know all the other shop owners nearby. We usually get our lunch from the small stall down the road. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to catch up on, watching the headlights on the bypass. It’s just a normal workplace where we try to get things done without making a big fuss about it. That’s how we like it, just keeping things moving along steadily every day while the cars go by outside.
