Bharat General Store

We are over on Old Galla Mandi Road in Dabra, specifically in the Chandni Chowk section. Since we are near the Galla Mandi, there is always a lot of talk about crop prices and the quality of the grain coming in from the farms. Bharat General Store is a place where we keep all the essentials for the house. We have big containers of lentils, rice, and different types of flour. It can get pretty loud outside with the tractors and the crowd from the market, but inside we just focus on helping whoever comes in to buy their groceries. We have been in this part of Gwalior for a good while now. The shop is nothing fancy to look at, just wooden counters and shelves filled with everything from tea packets to laundry soap. We get a lot of farmers and local residents who stop by after they finish their work at the mandi. Sometimes the shop feels too small for all the bags we have to store, but we manage to fit it all in somehow. My kids sometimes help out after school when it gets busy in the evenings. We don't have a mission statement or any big goals other than making sure we have enough stock for the next day. People in Dabra know they can find us here from early morning until the sun goes down. It is a busy life, but it is the life we know and we enjoy being in the middle of the market.
