Amit Kirana & General Store

I run this shop on Ramgarh Road here in Dabra. It’s been here a while. You can find us right across from where Dr. Deewan’s clinic is. People stop by for basic groceries, spices, and pulses. It’s a small place but we keep things people need every day. My family helps out. Most days it’s just me behind the counter. We get the milk delivery early in the morning. Sometimes the regulars come in just to talk while they buy their tea leaves or sugar. Dabra is a busy area especially during the day with all the traffic on the main road. I try to keep the shelves stocked so nobody has to go far for small things. We have snacks, soaps, and different types of grains. It’s not a big supermarket, just a local kirana store. The shop opens pretty early because people need stuff for breakfast. It stays busy until late evening. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with the road right there but that’s how it is. I know most of the faces that walk through the door. It feels good when someone brings their kids along who I saw growing up. If you are passing by Dr. Deewan's place, you'll see our sign. I don't really do much advertising. People just know where we are. It is a simple way of life. Just selling what neighbors need for their kitchens and homes.
