Our shop is at 65-9-47 Vempa Road. It’s easy to find because we are right opposite the police station here in Mogalturu. Having the station across the street makes it a pretty quiet and orderly spot. We have a lot of hardware items packed into the space. There are bins full of bolts, rows of paint cans, and racks for shovels and hoes. It can look a bit cluttered to someone who hasn't been here before, but we know where every single item is located. The building is a simple one-story structure with a flat roof. During the rainy season, we have to be careful to keep everything away from the entrance so it doesn't get wet. We’ve been part of the Mogalturu community for many years. We see the same faces every week, mostly local builders or farmers who need something fixed. There is a small wooden bench out front where people sometimes sit and talk for a bit. We don't do much in the way of advertising; we just stay open and wait for people to stop by. The floor is dark from years of boots walking over it, and the walls have some scratches from moving ladders around. It’s a practical place for people who need tools and supplies to get their jobs done. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized as best we can. Sometimes we have to spend a whole afternoon just counting out small boxes of screws for the shelves.
