M/S. Sri Sai Subramaneswara Rice Mill

Our mill is located at Plot Number 25-8-1 in Veerbhadrapuram. We are right by the Andhra Bank Complex, which is a landmark most people in the area recognize. The name of the mill is quite long, but most folks just call us by the short version when they stop by. It is a noisy place, as you would expect from a rice mill. The sound of the separators and the dryers fills the air from morning until evening. We have a lot of space in the back for the bags to sit while they wait to be moved. The floor is concrete and always has a light dusting of bran on it no matter how much we clean. It is hard work, lifting the heavy sacks and making sure the machinery stays oiled. The heat can be quite intense during the peak of the day, so we take our breaks in the shade of the loading dock. We have a small crew and we all know our jobs well. We don't spend much time on the computer; we prefer to be out where the grain is. It is a simple operation but it keeps us busy. The trucks line up outside near the bank complex, and we try to get them through as fast as we can. It is just a regular local business doing what we know how to do best with the tools we have available. We stay open until the last order is processed.
