I’m located at the CFCL plant township, specifically in quarter C-25 in Uttam Nagar, Kota. This isn’t really a traditional shop or business office you’d find on a main street. It’s more of a personal base for my work as an instrumentation engineer with NPCIL. My days are usually spent on-site at the plant, dealing with all the sensors, control systems, and technical equipment that keeps everything running safely. When I’m back at the quarters, I’m often catching up on technical manuals or planning out the next day’s maintenance schedule. Rajasthan can get incredibly hot, so the township is a bit of a haven after a long shift. Living and working in the same general area means I’m always close to the job if something needs urgent attention. Instrumentation is a lot of fine-tuning and making sure every reading is exact. It’s precise work and doesn’t leave much room for error. I’ve been in this line for a while now, and you get used to the specialized nature of the equipment. People in the township are mostly other workers and their families, so there’s a shared understanding of the routine here. It’s a quiet life centered around the engineering work at the plant. I don’t have a big staff or a storefront. It’s just me and the tools of the trade, making sure the infrastructure stays solid. That is what my work day looks like most of the time.
