If you go to Borekhera and look opposite T. T. Hospital, you’ll find us at number 87. It’s a pretty busy area because of the hospital traffic, so there’s always an ambulance siren or people rushing around. We started Vision Learner here because the building was available and it’s easy for people to find once they see the hospital. The space itself is quite basic. We have a few rooms with some tables and chairs where people sit to study or learn new skills. The walls are mostly bare, except for a clock that is always five minutes fast. I usually sit near the front door to greet whoever walks in. It gets quite hot in the summers, so we have these big ceiling fans that hum loudly all day long. You have to speak up a bit to be heard over them. It’s not a polished institution with a big budget. We use old-fashioned notebooks and pencils mostly. Sometimes we share a meal in the small back room when things get quiet in the afternoon. People from the neighborhood know us, and we often see the same faces every day. It’s a comfortable routine at number 87. We don’t try to be something we’re not; we’re just a local spot for learning. The door is usually left open to catch whatever breeze we can get from the street.
