Vintage Leathers

Vintage Leathers is situated at 20/34 on 23rd Street, right by the Bus Stand. It’s a very convenient spot because so many people pass by while waiting for their buses. The shop isn't very large, but we have enough room for what we do. We spend a lot of time handling the goods and making sure everything looks okay. Since we’re near the bus stand, it’s always loud with the engines and the conductors calling out. We don't mind it, though. It brings people in. We aren't one of those big modern stores. We’ve got a bit of an old-school feel to the place. Most of our work involves tidying up the displays and talking to travelers who wander in. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything. We just open the doors and see who comes by. Sometimes it’s busy and sometimes we just sit and watch the buses go by. It’s a steady kind of life. We like the rhythm of 23rd Street. It feels honest to work like this. We just want to do our job and go home at the end of the day. If you're catching a bus, you might see us there. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while now, and the routine hasn't changed much. We take care of our stock and wait for the next person to walk through the door. It’s just a normal shop trying to do things right in a busy transportation hub.
