Snowtex Synthetics is over in Shastri Nagar, in the old housing board area of Bhilwara. Our address is 1-B-32. This part of town has been around for a long time, and you can see it in the buildings. Our office is pretty basic. We’ve got some old wooden desks and a lot of filing cabinets that have seen better days. We deal with synthetic fabrics, which means the air always has a bit of a specific smell to it. It’s a steady kind of work. We aren't doing anything fancy. We just make sure the orders are processed and the quality is what it should be. Bhilwara is a tough place for textiles because the competition is so high. We have to stay on our toes. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to sit in the dark and wait. It gives us a chance to talk about things other than work, which is nice. We know the local truck drivers who come by to pick up the loads. They’re always in a hurry. The street outside is narrow and can get blocked easily. We’ve had the same neighbors for decades. It feels like a small village sometimes, even though it’s a big industry town. We don't have any grand plans. We just want to keep the machines running and make sure the bills get paid on time every month. It’s honest work.
